Fluorosurfactants are used in a wide range of consumer and industrial applications. Fluorosurfactants provide exceptionally low surface tensions and thus superior performance in many surface tension-related applications. They greatly improve wetting, spreading, and leveling performances, especially on low surface tension, hard-to-wet liquid or solid substrates. Fluorosurfactants and Foam Stabilizers are typically used at minimal levels and are critical components of the highest performing firefighting foams for flammable liquid fires.
